Travel - Washington DC - City Segway Tours

City Segway Tours

Segway TourWhen I was recently in the city of Washington DC a group of middle-aged men and women in bike helmets but did not see any bikes I thought it was just a group that was going too fast. But their limbs were not moved at all. In fact, they looked like some statues transported in the back of a low-riding pickup.

Then I moved closer I realized that it was the Segways Personal Transporters they were riding. Group was moving through various attractions quietly and effortlessly. It was the city 3-4 hours Segway Tours costing $ 70 a pop. What an idea!

I understand that company providing this kind of Segway Tours offers similar tours in Atlanta, Budapest, Chicago, New Orleans, Paris, Rome and Vienna, as well.

I think it is a very interesting possibility, in the White House, National Archives, Washington Monument, Capitol Building and half a dozen world-class museums right there to see at the mall in a few hours. By doing everything on foot, you would be so tired that you take the next day off. And try to do the same with a car, you'll go crazy because there is no parking in downtown DC (Visitors caution). So a Segway Tour in downtown DC offers a happy medium between both the speed and the easy navigation to view congested areas. Smart idea indeed.

Next visit to the nation's capital, look for the Segway Tours yourself.
